Unlock the Full Potential of Your Rubjoy with These Essential Tips

Rubjoy is adjustable in more ways than most owners initially realize. Here are five setup and usage tips that make a meaningful difference to the experience.
1. Try side-entry positioning for a completely different sensation
Most users position Rubjoy directly in front, which produces the standard stroke motion. Rotating the stand 90 degrees so the arm approaches from the side introduces a forward-back motion instead — a fundamentally different sensation that many users prefer once they discover it. Because Rubjoy's arm tilts and gyrates rather than just stroking in a straight line, the side-entry angle produces a motion that no front-entry positioning can replicate. Worth experimenting with early.
2. Use Fleshlight Quickshot sleeves for variety
Rubjoy is compatible with Fleshlight Quickshot cases in addition to the included TPE sleeve. Quickshot cases are open-ended, which suits Rubjoy's motion well, and are available in a wide range of internal textures. Each sleeve changes the sensation significantly — the same motion pattern feels different depending on the texture and firmness of the insert.
3. Mount to any RAM mount compatible surface
Rubjoy's stand uses RAM mount compatible connectors — the same system used for motorcycle accessories, camera rigs, and industrial equipment. Extra connectors are included with every unit. This means Rubjoy can be mounted to any RAM mount compatible surface or arm — under a desk, on a rail, on a bed frame, or on a custom rig. The stand length is also adjustable using the included extension links if the default reach doesn't suit your preferred position.
4. Adjust stand height and angle before recording
Speed, tilt, and stroke length settings cannot be adjusted during Library sequence playback — only before recording or while running in manual mode. Get the stand positioned and the baseline settings dialed in before you start recording a custom sequence. Small changes to stand angle significantly affect where the motion is felt — spend time on positioning first.
5. Run Rubjoy mobile with a power bank and inverter
Rubjoy runs on AC power, which means a standard USB power bank won't work. For a fully mobile setup — outdoors, travel, or anywhere without a wall outlet — use a power bank with a built-in AC inverter. These are widely available and provide a standard AC outlet from a portable battery. The power draw of Rubjoy is low enough that most mid-size inverter power banks will run it for several hours on a single charge.
6. Let the sleeve hang below the case for head-only contact
Instead of keeping the soft insert flush inside the plastic case, position it so the insert extends and hangs slightly below the bottom of the case. Elevate Rubjoy a little higher than usual so only the soft insert — not the case — makes contact. This isolates sensation to the head only, producing a completely different feel from standard full-insertion use. The grooves in the case hold the insert securely while still allowing it to flex and move with Rubjoy's motion.
