Flex, Pivot, and Play: The Role of Rubjoy's Bands
Share
Rubjoy's silicone attachment bands are the connection point between the stroker sleeve case and the robotic arm. They stretch over both the case and the arm to hold everything in position during use.
Why bands instead of a rigid clamp
A rigid clamp would hold the sleeve case firmly in one position — which would work fine for a linear stroker that only moves up and down. Rubjoy's arm tilts, pivots, and gyrates, which means the sleeve case needs to move with it through a range of angles. The silicone bands hold the case securely while allowing enough flex for the full multi-axis motion to transfer through without the case popping off or binding against the arm.
The bands are a consumable part. With regular use they stretch out and eventually snap — this is normal and expected. Replacement packs of ten are available in the Rubjoy store.
How to get more life out of your bands
A couple of simple habits make a meaningful difference to band lifespan:
Give each band a gentle pre-stretch before fitting it — this relaxes the silicone and reduces the stress of the initial stretch over the arm and case.
Rotate the bands occasionally so the spacer point isn't always sitting in the same spot. The area around the spacer is where most breaks happen — rotating distributes the wear more evenly.
Store unused bands away from direct sunlight and heat, which degrade silicone over time.
Each Rubjoy unit ships with extra bands included. Replacement packs are available at rubjoy.store if you need more.
